Technical Principles of Capacitive Touch Technology

▪️ How It Works:

Capacitive touch screen detect changes in capacitance caused by a finger approaching or touching the glass surface.

▪️ Two Types of Capacitance:

1. Sensing Capacitance: Between the user’s finger and the top ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) layer

2. Parasitic Capacitance: Exists between two conductive layers (e.g., top and bottom ITO layers), or between ITO and other optical layers (like LCD)
